چکیده
Since the effective start of large vaccination campaigns against Coronavirus disease 19 (COVID-19) pandemic, case reports are rising concerning unilateral axillary lymphadenopathies highly uptaking FDG PET/CT scans. These can be a source false positive for in post-vaccination context. Lymph node metastases from glioblastoma multiforme.
Extraneural metastases from glioblastoma multiforme are rare. Spread to the extracranial head and neck may be evident on routine follow-up images of the original lesion. We present two cases, one with documented metastatic adenopathy in the head and neck from glioblastoma and the other with probable metastatic disease in a lymph node in which biopsy was not performed, and discuss probable mecha...
متن کاملPrognostic Value of Lymph Node Ratio in comparison to Lymph Node Metastases in Stage III Colon Cancer
Background & Objectives: Colon cancer is currently of high incidence and mortality rate. Identifying the factors influencing its prognosis can be very beneficial to its clinical treatment. Recent studies have shown that lymph nodes ratio can be considered as an important prognostic factor. The aim of the present study is to investigate the effect of this factor on the prognosis of the ...
متن کاملLymphadenopathy: defining a palpable lymph node.
BACKGROUND The threshold size required to detect lymphadenopathy via palpation has never been formally determined. The purpose of this study was to determine the threshold, sensitivity, and error of node palpation and how this changes with experience. METHODS Lymphadenopathy models were created using polyvinyl alcohol cryogel (PVA-C) to mimic tissue tactility. Node diameter ranged from 0.5 to...
متن کاملExtensive silicone lymphadenopathy after breast implant insertion mimicking malignant lymphadenopathy
Silicone implants are widely used in aesthetic and reconstructive breast surgery. Silicone lymphadenopathy is a well-known rare complication of implant insertion. Silicone leakage from a rupture or silicone bleeding can accumulate in lymph nodes. Foreign body reactions in the affected lymph nodes may be misdiagnosed as metastasis or malignant lymphadeno pathy upon initial presentation if silico...
متن کاملPrediction Axillary Lymph Node Involvement Status on Breast Cancer Data
Introduction: one of the foremost usual methods for evaluating breast cancer is the removal of axillary lymph nodes (ALN) which include complications such as edema, limited hand movements, and lymph accumulation. Although studies have shown that the sentinel gland condition represents the axillary nodules context in the mammary gland, the efficacy, and safety of the guard node biopsy need to be...
